Last Review : The Land of Five Towers

Assalamu'alaikum..

Hello my beloved readers, I hope today is full of happiness for you. Today I would like to continue my post, still about book reviews: The land of towers. this is my last post about that, but don't worry, there are still many interesting things that I will share. Well let's continue Alif's inspirational story that was delayed, happy reading friends.

Agen 007

After beiing punished for breaking the qannun, Alif and friends have been given the responsibility of being a jasus (PM’s secret to keep an eye on trespassers). This responsibility is expected not only to cause regretbut also teach the students with a little rule.

Sarong and SACRIFICE

The sarong remind Alif of the experience of buying a cow for sacrifice. In the society of minang, sarong is a part of the marosok culture ( bargaining for the price of cow behind the sarong with sign language shaking hands).

Fellowship of the Manara

In Arabic Sahibul means to declare ownership. For example, Shaibul Manara it means the owner of manara (tower). Alif and his friend got the nickname sahibul manara from the people because they often spend time together under the tower. They studied together and shared stories of each other’s dreames there.

Letter  from antother Island

Raymond Jeffry or Randai was Alif best friend durig the school in MTsN. They like to compete in every way. Eventhough, they still friends. This time Alif recieved a letter from Randai, he told of his wonderful experience of schoocl in he’s dreamed which is also alif’s dream. Alif both happy and sad because it’s not as fortunate as his friend to go to the best high school in Bukittinggi.

Ten Exclamation Points

Ustadz Salman was an inspiring teacher for his students, including Alif. The motivation from Ustadz Salman raise the Alif spirits again,the words of ustadz he wrote with addint ten exclamation points as a sign of his determination.

Maa Haaza

All teachers with their fascinating subject make Alif and his friends realixe the weaknesses and stregths of the subject. They support one another to improve their understanding of the diffucult subjects.

Thanks God It’s Friday

Friday is a holiday in PM. The day whwre the student is free to wear shirt, take a nap, lunch with a good menu, walking out of the PM. Today Alif and friend to spend time for shopping and lunch, through the girl’s boarding house and the movie theater. The mischief made them too late to go the dorm. Fortunately ustadz Torik would forgive for them.

Miracles Come in the Morning

The habbit in the PM is students will get a new Arabic vocabulary after shalat in the morning. They were told to repeat it togetherand mak a sentence of the word. It is evident that this morning’s behavior has influenced the smooth flow of Arabic students at the PM. Kiai Rais said, “Put forth strong intent, trying hard and praying fervently. Then what you’re figthing for will succeed”.

Abu Nawas and Amak

For Alif, Amak has a soothing smile. Amak teaches Alif the meaning of justice, honesty and righteousness. Alif regretted himself, he hasn’t given a news to amak for a long time. The regret comes after Alif hearing the advice from Kiai Rais about the parents’ priorities.
